Owner, Founder and Principal Osteopath
Robert is the founder of OM clinic and is the Lead Clinician.
After qualifying with a B.Sc.(Hons.) degree from the University of Malta in 2005 in the profession of Physiotherapy, he then found his true calling as an Osteopath after meeting an Osteopath from the UK during postgraduate training. Soon after, he moved to London to study at the London School of Osteopathy, one of the most renowned Osteopathic teaching institutions in the UK, where he qualified with a second B.Sc.(Hons.) degree in Osteopathy. He worked in leading clinics throughout London, including the Forge Clinic in Richmond, The Penn Clinic in Hayes and North End Practice in Kentish Town.
He then moved back to Malta in 2012 where he became officially the first registered Osteopath in the Maltese Islands, where the profession is regulated by the Council for Professions Complementary to Medicine (CPCM). He is an associate member of the Forum for Osteopathic Regulation in Europe (FORE) and attends international meetings regularly to discuss regulatory matters in Osteopathy.
Robert works with patients from all walks of life. He has particular interest in lower back and sacroiliac joint conditions and is also trained in dry needling techniques. Being a former competitive distance runner at national level, he has a thorough understanding and vast experience in the treatment of running injuries. His personal bests are 34”50 for 10km, 1’23” half marathon, 16”03 for 5km and 9”01 for 3km. He is also trained and certified in Kinesio Taping methods and dry needling trigger point release.
