Osteopathy in Malta has been regulated by the Council for professions complementary to Medicine (CPCM) since 2003.
However, no osteopaths were registered until April 2012, where Malta saw the first registered Osteopath in the Maltese Islands. The Council regulates the standards of Osteopathy in Malta and ensures patient safety by allowing only individuals who fulfil the minimum criteria of academic studies to be included in the register and thus allowed to practice.
